I’ve decided to share a list of some sites with free speculative fiction I’ve enjoyed. For those not in the know, “speculative fiction” is an umbrella term including genres like science fiction, fantasy, superhero fiction, horror, utopian and dystopian fiction, space opera, steampunk, and supernatural fiction. I’ll add more links to short fiction sites to this page as I run across more, so be sure to bookmark it!
Please note that many of these short fiction sites have books, magazines, and other content for sales as well as for free, so if you like them, please support them if you can. If you can’t buy something, share a link, post a review, and tell your friends. Authors need you to spread the word!
